1.Lunch was, as expected, totally amazing; the restaurant was on College Ave, and the area felt a little nostalgic too.
2.I (re)discovered a mental wellness app called Headspace, and I'm eager to give it a go.
3.I got to head home a little early, and gained a free hour of time.
There are so many things I want to do, and I just can't fit it all. Time-blocking everything I do has really shown me how much time I spend working.
I really didn't eat very well today. I want to think of myself as a healthy person, but still having a hard time. I've had trouble timing my meals - I eat breakfast earlier than before, and get super hungry before 11am. Today, I eat instant eatmeal, which just had a ton of sugar. Tsk tsk. I know I can do better.
I discovered the Zombie Run app; using habitica has been awesome, so if I can gamify other parts of my life, that would be pretty great.
I'm also thinking that I need to take some of the advice from Atomic Habits, and put them into practice. Most notably:
- environment: I want to dedicate a space for each of my activities, so that when I'm in each space, I'll be able to focus on what I want to do.
- friction: there are definitely ways that I could make my habits a little easier. I could get lunch further away, and that would force me to walk more. Also need to get my multiple monitors set up so that I can work more efficiently. I also need to set up my food-prep game so that making breakfast / dinner isn't as time consuming.
